Alfredo Mac and Cheese !

Alfredo Mac and Cheese

16 oz uncooked elbow macaroni

½ cup butter

1 Tblsp fresh minced garlic

2 Tsp cornstarch

2 cups half & half

1 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 cup grated or chunks of sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup bread/cracker crumbs (optional)

Directions:

1. Cook macaroni according to instructions to “al dente.” Drain and pour into baking dish of choice (9 1/2 x13; 2 quart bowl….)
2. Pre-heat oven to 400 F degrees.
3. Melt butter on med low in med sauce pan. Add garlic.
4. Dissolve cornstarch in a separate bowl in ½ & ½ then add to pan. Cook on med high stirring constantly until creamy.
5. Turn off heat and stir in 1 cup of parmesan cheese.
6. Pour on top of macaroni and stir. Fold in sharp cheddar cheese.
7. Optional Top with bread crumbs.
8. Bake 15 minutes.
